Body Control Module: Service and Repair
BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
- When replacing the BCM, the configuration procedure must be performed before removing the BCM. Replacing the BCM without performing the configuration procedure will result in system malfunction.
1. Perform the BCM configuration when replacing it. Body Control Module (BCM) Configuration
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the front scuff plate (driver-side). Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
4. Remove the front side trim (driver-side). Front Side Trim Removal/Installation
5. Disconnect the connector at the position shown in the figure.
6. Remove tab A as shown in the figure, pull the fuse block in the direction of the arrow (1), and remove tab B.
7. Remove the fuse block.
8. Disconnect the connector at the position shown in the figure.
9. Remove the nut.
10. Press the BCM tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure while pulling it in the direction of the arrow (2), and then remove the tab from the body.
11. Disconnect the connector at the position shown in the figure.
12. Detach the clips and remove the vehicle wiring harness.
13. Remove the BCM.
14. Install in the reverse order of removal.
