Seat Back Component - Driver-Side Removal/Installation





SEAT BACK COMPONENT [DRIVER-SIDE] REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNING:
- Handling a seat (with built-in side air bag) improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings before handling a seat (with built-in side air bag). Air Bag System Service Warnings

CAUTION:
- After removing a seat, do not operate the slider lever. If the slider lever is operated, the left and right slide positions will deviate, and the slide adjuster may be damaged after the seat is installed.
- Verify that there are no malfunctions in the sliding mechanism after installing a seat.
- When performing the procedure with a seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean rag so as not to damage or soil the seat.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position.

2. Remove the battery cover.

3. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more. Removal and Replacement

4. Remove the seat. Removal and Replacement

5. Remove the seat side cover. Seat Side Cover Removal/Installation

6. Disconnect the side air bag module connector, then remove the side air bag wiring harness.






7. Disconnect the seat warmer connector.

8. Lift up the cover of both sides in the direction of arrow shown in the figure.






9. Remove the nuts, then remove the seat back component.

10. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Detach the tab as shown in the figure and remove the connector from the seat connector.
