Air Dist Unit Removal/Installation





AIR DIST UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the battery cover.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

3. Discharge the refrigerant from the system. Refrigerant Recovery Refrigerant Charging

4. Drain the engine coolant. Service and Repair

5. Disconnect from A/C unit in the order in the table.

CAUTION:
- If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise or other malfunction could occur. Always plug open fittings immediately after removing any refrigeration cycle parts.









6. Remove the following parts:
a. Console Console Removal/Installation

b. Glove compartment Service and Repair

c. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation

d. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation

e. Center panel unit Center Panel Unit Removal/Installation

f. Lower panel Lower Panel Removal/Installation

g. Knee bolster

h. Column cover Service and Repair

i. Driver-side air bag module Driver-Side Air Bag Module Removal/Installation

j. Steering wheel Service and Repair

k. Combination switch Removal and Replacement

l. Steering shaft Service and Repair

m. Meter hood Meter Hood Removal/Installation

n. Instrument cluster Removal and Replacement

o. Side panel Side Panel Removal/Installation

p. Hood release lever Service and Repair

q. Female bracket Convertible Top Disassembly/Assembly

r. A-pillar trim A-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation

s. Scuff plate Service and Repair

t. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

u. Fuse box No.1

v. Dashboard Dashboard Removal/Installation

7. Remove the air dist unit and A/C unit.






8. Disassemble the air dist unit as shown in the figure.






9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

10. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. Refrigerant System Performance Test

11. Inspect for engine coolant leakage. Engine Coolant Leakage Inspection
