Power Window Switch: Testing and Inspection





POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

Without Exterior Open function (Without Power Retractable Hardtop)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the console. Console Removal/Installation

3. Remove the power window main switch. Service and Repair

4. Connect the power window main switch connector.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.

6. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table.

- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.

- If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the power window main switch.

With Exterior Open function (With Power Retractable Hardtop)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the console. Console Removal/Installation

3. Remove the power window main switch. Service and Repair

4. Connect the power window main switch connector.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.

6. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table.

- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.

- If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the power window main switch.

- Vehicles with exterior open function: 2B (+) - Body ground

- Oscilloscope setting: 2V/DIV (Y): 500 ms/DIV (X), DC range

- Measurement condition: RHT switch is pressed
