GF80.50-P-2007GH Anti-Towing Sensor, Function
GF80.50-P-2007GH Anti-Towing Sensor, Function
- with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)
- with CODE (882b) Interior protection system (only with ATA)
The anti-towing sensor (TS) monitors changes in the position of the vehicle. With the aid of the inclination sensor the ATA module in the trip computer control module (N41) recognizes when the vehicle is lifted during an attempt to tow it away, etc.
The ATA module in the trip computer is connected to the all-activity module (AAM) (N10) by a data bus. Over this bus
- the AAM sends a signal to arm the anti-towing sensor and interior protection system to the ATA module.
- the ATA module sends a continuous signal as long as the anti- towing sensor and interior protection system are armed and no malfunction or alarm is present.
- the ATA module sends messages in the event of an alarm or malfunction.
Arming anti-towing sensor
The anti-towing sensor is armed when the ATA is activated. For this purpose the ATA module receives a signal from the AAM. The ATA module checks whether the inclination sensor is okay and then starts sending a continuous signal to the AAM.
This function is not armed when the anti-towing sensor and interior protection system are switched off.
Switching off anti-towing sensor
The anti-towing sensor can be switched off together with the interior protection system.
