OV00.01-U-1901-03B - Use of Electric Wiring Diagrams
Each wiring diagram shows complete system with all of the components related to that system and in addition grounds, circuit fuses, connector sleeves (splices) and wiring connectors up to harness separation points. If a relevant circuit or component is shown in another function group or section, the "hand" symbol followed by "P.E." advises you to go to that specific diagram for related information. This symbol will usually be accompanied by a hyperlink.
The "Search Aid Through All Wiring Diagram Groups" lists all of the diagrams available (for the 163 chassis) and their respective numbers regardless of year or model. You will find hyperlinks to diagrams that are applicable to the year and model you have selected. OV00.01-U-1901E - Search Aid Through All Wiring Diagram Groups
Options/Variations
Each wiring diagram may also contain information about variations in the circuitry due to optional equipment or vehicle model differences, clearly labeled in a dashed box. These variants may be labeled with "U ..." designation, a system abbreviation or a chassis number/production date range.
The meaning of the "U..." designation is found in the component designation and coordinate listing for the diagram. The meaning of a system abbreviation can be found in Abbreviations/Acronymns. Abbreviations/Acronyms The chassis number/production date range is self explanatory.
Wiring in vehicles may differ in cross-section and/or color from those shown in the wiring diagram.
