Front Caster

163.113/128/136/154/172:

163.174:

Procedure:
Measure ride heights of front and rear axles and consult chart for front axle caster angle (with wheels at 20° angle)
Tolerance ±30'
Maximum difference between left and right 30'

The level values are displayed by the electronic level measuring instrument in decimal degrees [°].
VA = Front axle; HA = Rear axle
Example: Front axle level (6.4°/12.1 mm) + rear axle level (4.7°/25.0 mm) = caster value (6°48' ±30')

Front Toe-in 0°20' ±10'
Toe-out on turns with the inside wheel steered through 20° 2°06' ±30'

Rear Caster (VA=Front Axle Level; HA=Rear Axle Level)

163.113/128/136/154/172:

163.174:

NOTE: Measure front and rear axle level and obtain the rear axle caster value from the table.
Tolerance ±0.5°, max. difference between left and right 0.5°.
The level values are displayed by the electronic level measuring instrument in decimal degrees [°].
Example: Front axle level (5.0°) + Rear axle level (3.2°) = caster value (-8.5° ±0.5°)

Overall toe-in at rear axle 0°20' ±7'
