Convenience Control, Function
The convenience control allows the driver to operate the electrically adjustable seats, power windows, power vent window, electrically adjustable exterior rearview mirror as well as the electric sliding/pop-up roof or electric lamella roof with the ignition switched off.
In order to achieve this, the all-activity module (AAM) (N10) switches circuit 30 to the loads in question via the convenience relay (F1k14).
As of 12.99, the vehicle has a separate convenience relay for the power seats (relay 1, F2k1). In addition, the status of the convenience control can be transferred via the CAN bus to the extended-activity module (EAM, N10/1).
Conditions for convenience control
With all-activity module (AAM) (N10) configuration for (USA) up to 11.99:
The convenience control is active as soon as
Circuit 15 ON is recognized.
After switching off circuit 15, the convenience control becomes inactive only after the driver or passenger door has been opened.
Otherwise:
The convenience control is active in the following cases:
Circuit 15c ON,
or one of the front doors open,
or remote control key removed, however, driver's door not yet opened.
In the last two cases, the convenience control remains active for 30 minutes.
NOTE:
Switch on condition for circuit 15 c
When the remote control key is inserted into the ignition lock, circuit 15 c switches ON when the key is turned out of the zero position.
Circuit 15 c then switches off only when the remote control key is removed from the ignition lock.
