Opening/Closing Windows In Rear Doors, Function
The power windows in the rear doors are controlled by the power window switches in the center console switch group (S21) or in the rear center console power window switch combination (S21/15):
Left rear window
When the left rear power window switch (S21s3) or left rear center console power window switch (S21/15s1) is pressed the power window motor (M10/5) starts running.
The window opens or closes.
Right rear window
When the right rear power window switch (S21s4) or right rear center console power window switch (S21/15s2) is pressed the power window motor (M10/6) starts running.
The window opens or closes.
Only the manual up/down control feature is available for the power windows in the rear doors:
If the convenience relay (F1k14) is switched on (e.g. front door open), actuation of the switch causes circuit 30 to be connected through to the corresponding motor.
Child protection feature
The function of the left rear power window switch (S21/15s1) and right rear power window switch (S21/15s2) can be switched off in the rear center console.
