Remote Door Unlock (TeleAid) Does Not Function

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the remote door unlock (RDU) feature not functioning, it may be due to a software error in the Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS). To resolve, perform the following.

1. Check version coding for the RDU feature in the EIS is "enabled" via menu path: Control Units -> Body -> EIS-Electronic Ignition Switch -> Control Unit Adaptations -> Read Coding and Change if Necessary -> Telematic Service -> Remote door unlocking' (TeleAid)

2. If the RDU feature still does not function, replace EIS following WIS document AR80.57-P-1000GM with part number listed below (or its successor).
