First at 13,000 mi or 1 year; then every 26,000 mi and 2 years

Engine Compartment
- Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.

Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary
- Brake system
- Windshield wipers, washer system

Interior
- Reset service indicator in instrument cluster

Function test
- Check battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester.
- Windshield wipers, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system (where applicable)
- Horn, warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting

Wheels, brakes
- Check front brake pads for lining thickness (remove 1 front wheel)
- Correct tire inflation pressure
- Inspect tires for damage and splits, measure tread depth and record in mm

Trunk
- Check spare tire inflation pressure (M-Class)

Vehicle Front/Rear
- Check wiper blade condition
