Component Identification:

Location
The auxiliary heater metering pump is located at the right vehicle floor, in front of the fuel tank.

Task
The auxiliary heater metering pump is a combined supply, metering, and shutoff system. Actuated by the STH control unit (A6n1), it supplies the fuel required for combustion from the vehicle's fuel tank to the STH heater unit (A6) and shuts off the feed line when the STH heater unit has stopped.
