GF28.10-P-0002-05RT Transfer Case (VG), Power Flow
GF28.10-P-0002-05RT Transfer case (VG), power flow
- up to model year 08
- Vehicles with all-wheel drive (4x4)
Component Identification:
The designation "power flow" is understood to refer to the transmission path of the engine torque (engine output).
A mechanical-hydraulic connection is used to transfer the engine torque over the torque converter, automatic transmission and transfer case to the drive wheels.
The input torque of the transfer case is transmitted to the differential (3) via the input shaft (1).
The rear differential side gear (3b) is connected directly to the rear axle output flange (4), the output torque being transmitted to the rear axle via the propeller shaft. The front differential side gear (3a) is connected to the input shaft sprocket (2) and is therefore connected to the front axle output flange sprocket (5) via the chain (7).
The output torque is transferred over the front axle output flange (6) and front axle propeller shaft to the front axle.
