- MODEL 461, 463 with TRANSFER CASE 750.65











1 Clamp drive shaft with PTO gearing downwards in a vise with protective jaws.
2.1 Install needle roller bearing (3).

Except transfer case 750.654.

2.2 Coat shaft with long-life grease.

Only for transfer case 750.654 with needle bearing without cage.

3 Push bearing support ring onto shaft.

Only for transfer case 750.654.

4 Insert needles all around the shaft.

Only for transfer case 750.654.

It is essential to pay attention to the correct seat and completeness of the needle pins

5 Push second bearing support ring onto shaft.

Only for transfer case 750.654.

6 Insert needles all around the shaft.

Only for transfer case 750.654.

7 Push third bearing support ring onto shaft.

Only for transfer case 750.654.





8 Install high-range gear (2) with new synchronizer cone and annular spring if necessary.





9 Install thrust washer (1).





10 Heat tapered roller bearing (4) in heating oven to 120° C.
11 Press tapered roller bearing (4) onto drive shaft.
