GF32.31-P-5109GZA Level adjustment switch, component description
- with CODE (489) Airmatic (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS)
- with CODE (430) Offroad package

Component Identification:

Location
The level adjustment high switch and level adjustment low switch are components of the lower control panel control unit (N72).

Task
The vehicle level can be raised with the level adjustment high switch.

Depending on the driver's request it can be raised to 110 mm above the highway level.

The level adjustment low switch can be used to lower the vehicle level out of all three off road levels.

In the locked position (vehicle raised), actuation of the level actuators is suppressed by the AIRmatic control unit (N51).

Function
The signals of the level adjustment high switch and level adjustment low switch are sent over the LIN bus from the lower control panel control unit to the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) and then read in. The information is transmitted over the CAN interior to the central gateway control unit (N93). There the information is transmitted to the AIRmatic control unit via the engine compartment CAN.

Actuation of the LED in the level control function indicator (N72e4) is performed in the reverse direction.

The LED in the level control function indicator flashes during the raising and lowering procedure.

A lamp test is run when the ignition is switched off and as long as the engine is not running.

After starting the engine the current driver command is displayed.
