The following operation steps are shown on the right side of the vehicle and can be accomplished analogously on the left side of the vehicle.
1 Route wiring harness (9) from backrest to connector block on front passenger seat.
The wiring harness (9) is placed in the seat only and is attached at a later point.
2 Route wiring harness (6) from previously created opening in backrest to upper cross strut (22).
3 Connect white 8-pin plug (6.1) of wiring harness (6) to white 8- pin coupling (9.1) of wiring harness (9), and fasten to upper cross strut (22) using cable ties.
4 Strap down any excess line lengths on wiring harness (6) and wiring harness (9) and fasten wiring harness (9) and wiring harness (6) using cable ties to the seat frame.
Fasten wiring harness (9) to seat such that unrestricted adjustment of the seat is possible. Otherwise the wiring harness (9) may be sheared off or crushed.
5 Detach and disconnect right front connector block (X55/4).
6 Connect black 2-pin coupling (24) and black 2-pin plug (25) of wiring harness (9) to detached right front connector block (X55/4).
The black 2-pin coupling (24) and the black 2-pin plug (25) are coded and cannot be swapped.
7 Connect assembled connectors and fuse carrier at the carrier (33). The fuse rating is 5 A.
8 Fix wiring harness in place with cable ties.
