Ensure that the wiring harnesses are not damaged by chafing or pinching. Otherwise the corresponding wiring harness must be replaced.
The following operation steps can be performed in the same manner on the left or right side of the vehicle. Clarification must be reached with the customer in advance regarding the side of the vehicle on which the Tablet PC mount (4) is to be installed.





1 Disconnect white connector (23) from slot "P1" of the load compartment fuse and relay box (F4).
The slot is designated as "P1".
2 Remove red line (RD) from contact cavity 3 of white connector (23).
The contact cavities are labeled.
3 Fit white connector (23) to slot "P1" of load compartment fuse and relay box (F4).





4 Extend red line (RD) by approx. 100 mm.

On vehicles without code (359) TELEAID emergency call system.
To extend, use a red line (RD 1) with the same conductor cross-section. To connect the red lines (RD and RD 1) use solder connector (22).





5 Disconnect black connector (24) from slot "P6" of load compartment fuse and relay box (F4).
The slot is designated as "P6".
6 Install red line (RD) in contact cavity 10 of black connector (24).
On vehicles without code (359) TELEAID emergency call system.
The contact cavities are labeled.
Only conduct operation steps 7 to 11 on vehicles with code (359) TELEAID emergency call system.
7 Remove black-white line from contact cavity 10 of black connector (24).
The contact cavities are labeled.





8 Remove "SLK" contact of red line (RD).
9 Extend red line (RD) by approx. 100 mm.

To extend, use a red line (RD 1) with the same conductor cross-section. To connect the red lines (RD and RD 1) use solder connector (22).
10 Connect black-white line (BK/WH) to red line (RD 1).

To connect the red lines (RD 1) and the black-white line (BK/WH) use a solder connector (22).





11 Install black-white line in contact cavity 10 (arrow) of black connector (24).
The contact cavities are labeled.
12 Fit black connector (24) to slot "P6" of load compartment fuse and relay box (F4).
The slot is designated as "P6".
13 Replace fuse with a fuse rating of 5 A with a fuse with a fuse rating of 7.5 A.
The fuse is located on the front of the load compartment fuse and relay box (F4) in slot "60".





14 Connect white 8-pin connector (10) of vehicle wiring harness to white 8-pin plug (8.1) of wiring harness (8).
