AZ88.00-P-0001-03RT Converting Rear Bumper

Check components removed from standard bumper before assembly and replace if damaged.

Pay attention to paint damage.







1. Insert paneling bottom section (2) into rear bumper paneling (1).







2. Fasten paneling bottom section on inside of rear bumper paneling with 10 spring nuts (3) and two holddown clips (4).







3. Insert reinforcement bottom section (5) on left and right into rear bumper paneling (1) and fasten with three blind rivets (6) each.







4. Insert rear reinforcement (7) on left and right into rear bumper paneling (1) and fasten with three blind rivets (6) each.







5. Fasten rear reinforcement (7) on left and right to reinforcement bottom section (5) with two blind rivets (6) each.







6. Install plate (8) on rear bumper paneling (1).

The guide lugs on the plate (8) should be seated correctly in the rear bumper paneling (1) (see picture at top center).

7. Fasten plate (8) on inside of rear bumper paneling (1) with seven spring nuts (9) and secure (see picture at top right).







8. Insert basic carrier (10) into rear bumper paneling (1)







9. Fasten basic carrier (10) on inside of rear bumper paneling (1) with six expansion rivets (11) and two blind rivets (6) each at top on left and right.







Vehicles with Parktronic system (PTS) code 220

10.1. Insert outer right rear PTS ultrasonic sensors (B8/7), inner right PTS ultrasonic sensors (B8/8), left inner PTS ultrasonic sensors (B8/9) and outer left PTS ultrasonic sensors (B8/10) into brackets on rear bumper paneling (1).

11.1. Insert PTS wiring harness (23) into basic carrier (10) and fasten at predefined attachment points.







12. Hook check strap (15) on towing eye cover (16) into rear bumper paneling (1).
13. Insert tow eye cover (16) into rear bumper paneling (1).

The towing eye cover (16) should arrest correctly.
