Component Identification:

Location
The STH heater unit is located in the fender in the top right behind the front wheel.

Task
Heating the vehicle interior to the target temperature set in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22).

Design
The components required for generation and transfer of heat are integrated into the STH heater unit:
^ Temperature sensor (A6b1)
^ Thermal fuse (A6f1)
^ Combustion air blower (A6m2)
^ STH control unit (A6n1)
^ Glow pin unit flame monitor (A6r4)
^ Fuel preheating system (A6r5) (diesel only)

Function
The start, regulation and ending of heater operation is controlled by the integrated STH control unit.
