Location
The STH switchover valve is located in the engine compartment behind the right front lamp unit (E2).

Task
Actuated by the STH control unit (A6n1), the STH switchover valve regulates the coolant flow between the heater heat exchanger (small coolant circuit) and the engine (large coolant circuit).

This enables the interior compartment to be heated up faster.
