GF00.20-P-2010RT Display Service Scope, Function
GF00.20-P-2010RT Display Service Scope, Function
- MODEL 251.1 /0 up to Model Year 8
The service code is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13). This includes the time taken to perform the service and is classified from A to H. The code is in ascending order. The codes are:
- Code A: service scope of up to 1 hr.
- Code B: service scope of up to 2 hrs.
- Code H: service scope of up to 8 hrs.
The evaluation of all the important data takes place in the central gateway control unit (N93) via the Service processor module.
The service scope can be determined in 3 different ways:
- The instrument cluster (A1) can be used to read out the workshop code, e.g. "4G3P" and enter it in the Workshop Information System (WIS). WIS breaks down this workshop code and determines the service scope and the additional operations to be performed for the vehicle. These are then preselected in the WIS. Then the vehicle-related service sheet can be printed out.
- The workshop code can be read out and noted on the instrument cluster. The stored service items can be looked up and allocated using the Service booklet.
- The service operation can access the ASSYST PLUS data using STAR DIAGNOSIS. ASSYST PLUS is switched to the diagnosis state for this purpose.
Essentially, the following actions are possible:
- Display of tasks to be performed for this service: A list of all work to be performed in this service date is compiled.
- Configuration of maintenance items: Maintenance items can be configured by activating or deactivating them. Here, the corresponding weighting of all the other data for the item e.g. maintenance intervals, exceeding limit, weighting with plausible values must be assigned in the maintenance item using STAR DIAGNOSIS.
- Confirmation of services performed: An identifier is set for the corresponding maintenance items indicating that the service has been performed.
- Cancelation of incorrect maintenance item confirmation: A maintenance item can be reset (maintenance confirmed) once only within a service period.
- Read out the service memory: this provides information on maintenance already performed.
- If the central gateway control unit is to be replaced, all the relevant data are backed up by STAR DIAGNOSIS and transferred to the new central gateway control unit.
