Corrosion Spots on Chrome Trim on Doors





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding corrosion spots on the chrome trim on the doors (around the side glass), do not replace any of the affected trim pieces. Corrosion on these parts (Figure 1) is mainly caused by salt, either from road deicing chemicals or from the air in coastal areas. The corrosion spots can be removed with M-B Chrome Care, part no. A000 986 43 74 12.
