MODELS 164, 164.8, 251 (with mechanical mirrors)
MODEL YEARS 2005 -2007

LUBRICATE FOLDING MECHANISM OF RIGHT AND LEFT OUTSIDE MIRRORS

This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that on the affected vehicles the parking latches of both outside mirrors may not have been lubricated. This could lead to the need to apply increased force when folding in the outside mirrors. Dealers will lubricate the folding mechanism of both outside mirrors, right and left.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

^ Please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved and to determine if the vehicle has been previously repaired.

^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin.

Approximately 63,323 vehicles are affected.

Procedure

1. Push left outside mirror forward in direction of hood.






2. Lubricate guideway (A, Figure 1) of plastic slider (arrow).

3. Return outside mirror to starting position and fold in and out 10 times.

4. Repeat above procedure for right outside mirror.
