Equipped with SA code 845 (3rd Row Seat Folding Down Electrically) and SA code 847 (3rd Row Seat with Folding Individual Seats) Easy Exit Strap for Second Row Seat Backrest Release Too Short

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the release loop for the second row seat (right side) is difficult or awkward to operate, this may be due to the loop being too stiff and too short. To resolve, perform the following.

Note:
The new release loop can be adapted in a position that is more ergonomic to the customer without increasing the force needed to operate the backrest. Remove felt carpeting under the seat cushion to gain access to attachment point shown in Figure 2. Cut the cable tie securing the cover (Figure 2) and remove cover (Figure 3).

3. Detach the bowden cable (Figure 4) and the pull loop out of guide (Figure 5).

4. Cut the loop in area of the bowden cable using scissors (Figure 6).

5. Thread the bowden cable into the new flexible loop. (Figures 7 and 8).

6. Push the loop through the guide (Figure 9) and clip the bowden cable into the area provided. (Figure 10)

7. Reinstall the cover (Figure 11). Use a cable tie to secure the cover (Figure 12).

8. Reinstall felt carpet. Ensure that the locking pin for the cushion
is not covered by the felt.
