GF82.10-P-2008GZ Light Warning, Function
GF82.10-P-2008GZ Light Warning, Function
Light warning function with manually activated driving lights
Function requirements
^ C. 15C ON
^ Rotary light switch (S1) set to the "Standing lights On" or "Low beams On" position
Function (up to 8.7.07)
The left front door control unit (N69/1) recognizes, via the left front door central locking motor (M14/6), the current door status and transmits this to the instrument cluster (A1) via the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B).
As soon as the transmitter key (A8/1) is removed from the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73), an acoustic light warning is given via the warning buzzer (A1h1) in the instrument cluster when the driver door is opened.
Function (as of 9.7.07)
If the manual driving lights were switched on by setting the rotary light switch to the "Low beams On" position, these are switched off by removing the transmitter key or if the driver door is opened with the transmitter key still inserted. The acoustic light warning does not sound.
If the standing or parking lights were switched on by setting the rotary light switch to the "Standing lights On" or "Parking lights On" position, these remain switched on even when the transmitter key has been removed.
If the driver door is opened while the standing lights are on, the acoustic light warning function is triggered.
Light warning function with automatically activated driving lights
Function (up to 8.7.07)
If the auto on/off headlamps (rotary light switch set to "AUTO" and rain/light sensor (B38/2) transmits the signal "Darkness") or the daytime running lights are active, at the end of the journey there is no acoustic light warning as the driving lights are switched off completely when the transmitter key (circuit 15C OFF) is removed. If, however, the driver door is opened before removing the transmitter key (circuit 15C On), the acoustic light warning will sound.
Function (as of 9.7.07)
If the auto on/off headlamps or daytime running lights are active, the exterior lights are completely shut off as of circuit 15R. An acoustic light warning therefore does not sound.
