GF40.15-P-0001-02GZ Tire pressure monitor (TPM), activation
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens)

Component Identification:

In the event of air pressure changes by the driver, in the event of a wheel replacement or a tire change, new air pressure values in the TPM [RDK] control unit (N88) are detected automatically by filling detection. Manual reactivation is merely planned as a stopgap solution if automatic filling detection fails.

The following procedure must be followed for activation:
^ Correct the air pressure at each wheel;
^ Switch on the ignition (circuit 15 "ON").

^ Use the scroll forward/back button to select the tire pressure monitoring system.

Component Identification:

^ Press trip odometer reset button (A1s3). The previous display changes to the selection screen with preselection "No".

^ Press the "+" button on the + and - button for setting specific functions and volume control on the multifunction steering wheel. The selection screen with selection "Yes" appears for approx. 2 seconds and then changes immediately to the confirmation screen.

All other buttons cause the activation sequence to be aborted.

^ Once the engine has been started the system message shown opposite appears immediately.

If activation is carried out when the engine is running, this message appears with a time delay of approx. 30 seconds.

^ After approx. 10 min journey time the current tire pressures are displayed. The activation process is complete.
