GF28.19-P-3203GZ Transfer Case Switchover Magnet, Component Description
GF28.19-P-3203GZ Transfer case switchover magnet, component description
- with CODE (430) Offroad package
Component Identification:
The transfer case switchover magnet is screwed into the rear housing half of the transfer case from below on the left in the direction of travel.
Task
The switchover magnet switches the transfer case actuator motor between the interaxle differential lock and the "High/Low shift" in the transfer case.
Design
The switchover magnet is a linear lift solenoid (solenoid plunger) which acts against a spring.
Function
When the switchover magnet is energized by the transfer case control unit (N15/7), the interaxle differential lock is activated via the solenoid plunger.
In the deenergized state, the spring pushes the solenoid plunger back and activates the "High/Low shift mode".
