Location
The overhead control panel control unit is located in the front area of the roof near the inside rearview mirror on the dome.

Task
- Control of the vehicle interior lights
- Control system for sliding/tilting roof drive only for power glass tilting/sliding roof, code 414
- Gateway for rain/light sensor interface to CAN-B
- Gateway for interface for dimming inside rearview mirror to CAN-B
- Voltage supply of left sun visor with illuminated mirror (E14/1)
- Voltage supply of right sun visor with illuminated mirror (E14/2)
- 2nd seat row left reading lamp (E15/12e1)
- 2nd seat row right reading lamp (E15/13e1)
- Voltage supply of dimming inside rearview mirror only for automatically dimming inside rearview mirror and outside mirror (driver), code 249
- Voltage supply for left reading lamp (A67e1)
- Voltage supply for right reading lamp (A67e2)
- Voltage supply of interior protection sensor (B44) only for anti- theft alarm system (ATA [EDW]), code 551, except USA version, code 494
- Voltage supply of glass breakage loop only for anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW]), code 551, except USA version, code 494
- Voltage supply of garage door opener transmitter unit only for garage door opener with frequency 284-390 MHz, code 232, USA version, code 494

The overhead control panel control unit contains the master function for final shutoff of the vehicle interior lighting. The interior lamps are always switched on or off in dimming action (exception: reading lamp).

Scanning the following switches:
- Left interior lamp, 1st seat row
- Right interior lamp, 1st seat row
- Roof switch
- Rear dome lamp switch
- Door contact ON and OFF switch
- Interior lamp switch, 1st seat row
- Left reading lamp switch, 1st seat row
- Right reading lamp switch, 1st seat row

The SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) is only installed for vehicles with USA version, code 494. The SOS pushbutton switch is not read in or supplied via the overhead control panel control unit. This is performed via the E-call control unit (N112).

- Voltage supply of inside rearview mirror unit (A67)
