Backup lamp actuation function sequence
The electronic selector lever module control unit determines the current selector lever position and forwards it to the EZS control unit via the drive train CAN (CAN C).
This routes the information via the interior CAN (CAN B), where it is read in by the rear SAM and the trailer recognition control unit.
The rear SAM actuates the backup lamps.
The trailer recognition control unit actuates the backup lamp on the trailer via the trailer hitch socket (13-pin).
To avoid any brief lighting up when the selector lever is shifted from the "P" position to "D" via "R", the request is only sent from the EZS control unit when the request has been pending for more than t = 500 ms.
