GF28.10-P-0002-05VGB Transfer Case (VG), Power Flow
GF28.10-P-0002-05VGB Transfer case (VG), power flow
- as of model year 09
- Vehicles with all-wheel drive (4x4)
Component Identification:
The designation "power flow" is understood to refer to the transmission path of the engine torque (engine output).
Via a mechanical/hydraulic connection the engine torque is transmitted to the axle gears and drive gears via the torque converter, automatic transmission and transfer case.
The input torque of the transfer case is transmitted to the differential (3) via the input shaft (1). The rear differential side gear (3b) is connected directly to the output flange of the rear axle (4), the output torque being transmitted to the rear axle via the propeller shaft.
The front differential side gear (3a) is connected to the sprocket of input shaft (2) and thus to the output flange sprocket of the front axle (5) via the chain (7).
The output torque is transmitted to the front axle via the output flange of the front axle (6) and via the propeller shaft.
