N25/9 Left rear individual seat control unit
Location
The left rear individual seat control unit is located under the seat frame on the left rear seat.
Task
The left rear individual seat control unit has the following tasks:
^ Controlling functions
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluating input factors
^ Actuating components
Controlling functions
The front seat adjustment control unit controls the following functions:
- Seat adjustment as per the requests from left rear individual seat adjustment switch group, with memory (S56)
- Detecting and storing the seat position as well as moving to stored seat positions
Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Rear individual seat CAN (CAN BX)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Hall sensors for left rear forward/back seat adjustment motor (M29/1)
- Hall sensors for left rear seat adjustment motor, rear seat height (M29/2)
- Hall sensors for left rear seat adjustment motor, front seat height (M29/3)
- Hall sensors for left rear seat adjustment head restraint motor (M29/4)
- Hall sensors for left rear backrest motor (M29/5)
Rear individual seat CAN
The signals are sent by the left rear individual seat control unit over the rear individual seat CAN.
The resulting functions are described in the corresponding function description (refer to block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Component actuation
Components are actuated with the following line:
^ Direct line
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Motor for left rear seat forward/back adjustment
- Left rear seat adjustment motor, rear seat height
- Left rear seat adjustment motor, front seat height
- Left rear seat adjustment motor, head restraint
- Left rear backrest motor
