1 Switch off ignition and detach connector plug (2) from motor/ pump unit (1).
2 Remove pressure in booster circuit (Press brake pedal approx. 30 times).
3 Read off pressure on pressure gauge.

Pressure gauge displays 0 bar: System OK.

Pressure gauge displays residual pressure (> 0 bar): Brake booster hydraulic unit defective.





4 Start engine. The brake pressure additional hydraulics warning lamp (E16/5) must go on within a period of 60 seconds.

Warning lamp (E16/5) stays on: System OK.

Warning lamp (E16/5) goes out: Vehicle electrical system defective.

5 Switch off ignition.
6 Connect connector plug (2) to motor/pump unit (1) (must audibly latch into place).
