1 Switch off ignition and eliminate pressure in booster circuit (operate brake pedal approx 30 times).

The pressure gauge must display 0 bar.

2 Switch off ignition and at the same time read off pressure on the pressure gauge.

The warning lamp for additional hydraulic brake pressure (E16/5) must light up.

The pressure must suddenly change to 30 to 85 bar when the ignition is switched on. The warning lamp (E16/5) goes out.

This value corresponds to accumulator pre-stress.

Pressure between 30 and 85 bar: System OK.

Pressure below 30 bar: Motor/pump unit accumulator and brake booster hydraulic unit accumulator defective.
