1 Route power supply wiring harness (6) along existing lines from InCar Hotspot (1) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and fix in place using cable ties.
2 Connect brown line (br) at left taillamp trunk ground point (W6/1).
Strap down excess length of line.
3 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) from InCar Hotspot (1) below rear seat backrest in area of rear seat cushion and fix in place using cable ties.
4 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) under floor covering (8) from rear seat backrest to center console and fix in place with felt tape.
Lift floor covering (8) using assembly iron. Use a pullthrough device.
5 Disconnect mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37)
6 Connect cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) to the cellular telephone system splitter (2).
7 Connect disconnected mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37) to cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line (4) and vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7) of cellular telephone system splitter (2).
The connectors and couplings are coded and cannot be interchanged.
8 Affix velcro strip to back of cellular telephone system splitter (2).
9 Lift center console and fasten cellular telephone system splitter (2) on floor covering below center console using velcro strip.
Make sure that cellular telephone system splitter (2) is seated exactly in the cutout of the center console.
10 Check whether slot (arrow A) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is installed and whether a fuse is inserted.
Slot (arrow A) on rear of the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is marked with "10R". If a fuse is inserted in slot (arrow A) or slot (arrow A) is not present, continue with operation step 16.
11 Open lock (5.1) of black coupling housing (5).
12 Plug red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness into contact cavity 2 of black coupling housing (5).
Contact cavity 2 of black coupling housing (5) is marked accordingly.
13 Close lock (5.1) of black coupling housing (5).
14 Plug black coupling (5) into slot "10R" on rear of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
15 Insert a fuse with a fuse rating of 7.5 A into slot (arrow A) of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
Only perform operation steps 16 - 25 if slot (arrow A) was occupied or if it is not present.
16 Select any free slot (arrows B, C, D, E, F, G or H).
Operation steps 17 to 25 are shown at the slot (arrow D) by way of example, but the operation steps can also be performed at the free slots (arrows B, C, E, F, G or H) accordingly.
17 Remove fuse carrier (10) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
18 Open lock (10.1) of fuse carrier (10).
19 Disconnect SLK contact (11) of red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness.
20 Crimp an SLK 2.8 contact (12) onto red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness.
21 Open lock (10.3) of fuse carrier (10).
22 Plug red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness into second contact cavity (10.2) of fuse carrier (10).
23 Close lock (10.3) of fuse carrier (10).
24 Insert fuse (13) into fuse carrier (10) and close lock (10.1).
The fuse rating is 7,5 A.
25 Attach fuse carrier (10) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
26 Check whether a fuse is installed in slot (arrow K) of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
If a fuse is inserted in slot (arrow K), perform following operation steps at one of the slots (arrows L, M, N or P) accordingly.
27 Detach yellow fuse carrier (15) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and open lock (15.1).
28 Open lock (15.3) of yellow fuse carrier (15).
29 Pin black line (sw) of power supply wiring harness into second contact cavity (15.2) of yellow fuse carrier (15).
30 Close lock (15.3) of yellow fuse carrier (15).
31 Insert fuse (16) into yellow fuse carrier (15) and close lock (15.1).
The fuse rating is 7,5 A.
32 Attach yellow fuse carrier (15) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
