Component Identification:

Location
The front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) is beneath the seat cushion at the frame of the front passenger seat.

Task
- Control of seat adjustment in accordance with the requests sent over the interior CAN (CAN B)
- Storing of the memory adjustments for the seat
- Actuation of head restraint presetting (not ECE and UK)
- Front passenger seat lumbar support adjusting facility control unit power supply (N32/24)

Reading in of sensors and signals
These input factors are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

- Hall sensors of the seat adjustment motors

Interior CAN
- Seat switch signals

Evaluation of input factors
The read in input factors are evaluated by the front passenger seat control unit. The motors for seat adjustment are actuated via integrated relays.

Actuation of components
The following motors are actuated via direct lines:
- Front passenger seat lumbar support adjusting facility control unit (N32/24)
- Front passenger seat fore/aft adjustment motor (M28/1)
- Front passenger seat height adjustment motor (M28/2)
- Front passenger seat inclination adjustment motor (M28/3)
- Front passenger seat head restraint adjustment motor (M28/4)
- Front passenger seat backrest inclination adjustment motor (M28/5)
