The wiper system may only be adjusted if the test values of wiper arms deviate from the tolerance range in parked position The specified adjustment values are only valid for left-hand drive vehicles. For right-hand drive vehicles, the corresponding preceding sign has to be changed.

The following adjustment procedure is shown on model 204.0.

1 Install angle gauge (A) to driver-side wiper arm (1).
2 Open hood.
3 Remove cover (2)

Only on model 204 Cover (2) is no longer fitted.

4 Remove sealing frame in area of screw (3), remove cover above screw (3) and lift insulation mat far enough to allow access to the screw (3).

Only on model 212

5 Loosen screw (3) and attach extraction hook (4) onto wiper system (5).
6 Shift wiper system (5) using extraction hook (4) until the correct adjustment value is shown on the scale on the angle gauge (A).
7 Tighten screw (3) and remove extraction hook (4).
8 Close hood and remove angle gauge (A) from driver-side wiper arm (1).
