GF82.30-P-3010CE Wiper Stop Function

GF82.30-P-3010CE Wiper Stop Function
- with CODE (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW])

Function requirements, general
^ C. 15R On
^ Wipe or wash function activated

The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) transmits circuit 15 status to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via the interior CAN (CAN B).

Wipe stop in general
The wipe/stop function serves prevents the wiper motor (M6/1) from being actuated by the front SAM control unit when the engine hood is open.

Wipe stop function sequence
If at a speed of v < 3 km/h an open engine hood is detected by the engine hood anti-theft alarm system switch (S62), the corresponding wipe function is immediately interrupted. The wipe stop function is interrupted at a speed of v > 6 km/h, i.e. the wiper motor is actuated as from this speed again.
The instrument cluster (A1) transmits the vehicle speed information to the front SAM control unit via the interior CAN. The steering column tube module (N80) directly reads in the switch position of the combination switch (S4) and transmits it to the front SAM control unit via the chassis CAN (CAN E).

The open engine hood is detected by the engine hood anti-theft alarm system switch. The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) reads in the status of the engine hood anti-theft alarm system and transmits it to the front SAM control unit via the interior CAN.
The front SAM control unit interrupts the actuation of the wiper motor.
