Location
The solenoids are in the NECK-PRO head restraints of the front seats.

Task
The solenoids release the NECK-PRO head restraints in the event of a crash.

Function
The NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device (N139) actuates the die NECK-PRO head restraint solenoids. Thanks to a precompressed spring, the impact plate of the NECK-PRO head restraint moves forward and at the same time upward. The head rotation in the event of a rear-end collision is thus minimized.
With the aid of a counter magnetic field, the NECK-PRO head restraint is retained in this position.
