Function prerequisites:
Controlled heater operation terminated or interrupted due to a malfunction. After the fuel metering pump (Y23) has been switched off by the heater terminating the combustion the shut-off delay starts.

Shut-off delay function
The shut-off delay serves for cooling down the heater and purging the combustion chamber. It runs for approx. 120 s:
1. The circulating pump (A6m1), combustion air blower (A6m2) and vehicle heater blower continue to run audibly.
The air flowing out of the stationary heater exhaust outlet cools down slowly.
2. After approx. 120 s the heater switches off the circulating pump (A6m1), combustion air blower (A6m2) and vehicle heater blower. The shut-off delay is completed.
