The airbag unit is located beneath the dashboard above the glove box.

Task
The front passenger is protected from injury in the event of a frontal impact by the airbag unit.
The airbag unit is designed as a single-stage airbag unit.
Deployment takes place means of squib ignition by the restraint systems control unit (N2/7).
