Function sequence for locking/unlocking vehicle with inside switch
Actuation of the left inside door handle CL switch is read in by the left front door control unit (N69/1), actuation of the right inside door handle CL switch by the right front door control unit (N69/2) and relayed to the EIS control unit (N73) via the interior CAN. The EIS control unit transmits the corresponding request via interior CAN to the:
- Front SAM control unit (N10)
- Rear SAM control unit (N10/8)
- Door control module front left
- Door control module front right
They unlock or lock the:
- Right front door CL motor (M14/5)
- Left front door CL motor (M14/6)
- Left rear door CL motor (M14/8)
- Right rear door CL motor (M14/9)
The rear SAM control unit enables or inhibits opening the tailgate with the rear-end door handle switch (S88/9) or folding out the spare tire carrier with the spare tire carrier control button (S151/3) (with code (849) Spare tire holder/spare tire).
When locking with the inside door handle CL switch, the tank cap remains always unlocked.
Enabled locking functions depending on door status:
Driver door open:
- All doors except the driver door, the tailgate and the spare tire carrier are locked.
Driver or passenger door open:
- Locking via interior actuation CL switch inhibited
Opening a door from the inside when the CL is locked: Every door can always be opened from the inside. At least the corresponding door is opened mechanically. If the vehicle was unlocked globally before locking, the CL is actuated centrally.
