GF91.29-P-5251GM Folding Rear Bench Seat Control Unit, Component Description
GF91.29-P-5251GM Folding Rear Bench Seat Control Unit, Component Description
- with CODE (845) 3rd seat row folding down electrically
Component Identification:
Location
The folding rear bench seat control unit (N32/26) is located under the left seat of the second seat row.
Tasks
- Actuate the lock and release function of the right and left seat in the 3rd seat row
- Actuate the fold down and up function of the right and left seat in the 3rd seat row
- Read in two folding backrest switches per seat
- Read in the release switches in the release units
- Control the release units
- Control the folding backrest motors
These are grouped as follows:
^ Reading in of sensors and signals
^ Evaluating input factors
^ Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors and signals
These input factors are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
- Circuit 30
- Tml. 31
The following sensors are read in via direct lines:
- Hall sensor in the left folding backrest motor (M53/10)
- Hall sensor in the right folding backrest motor (M53/11)
- Front switch for left folding backrest (S158/1)
- Rear switch for left folding backrest (S158/2)
- Front switch for right folding backrest (S158/3)
- Rear switch for right folding backrest (S158/4)
- End position switch in the left backrest release unit (A93/1)
- End position switch in the right backrest release unit (A93/2)
Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Circuit status and battery voltage from EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- Status of the rear doors and the trunk lid (function requirement: At least one rear door or trunk lid open) from the rear SAM control unit (N10/8)
- Vehicle speed signal (function requirement: Speed below 12 km/h) from instrument cluster (A1)
The signals are read-in/sent by the folding rear bench seat control unit. The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The read in input factors are evaluated by the folding rear bench seat control unit. The actuation of the folding backrest motors takes place via integrated relays.
Actuating components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The following motors are actuated via direct lines:
- Left folding backrest motor (M53/10)
- Right folding backrest motor (M53/11)
- Left backrest release unit (A93/1)
- Right backrest release unit (A93/2)
Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Status of the left or right 3rd seat row backrest unlocked to the instrument cluster (A1), whereupon an instrument cluster message is generated.
Variants
There are no variants for the hardware of the folding rear bench seat control unit.
The country or left-hand drive vehicle/right hand drive vehicle allocation is software coded.
