Function sequence for workshop level settings in general
The workshop level serves the technician in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.
The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows:
- Close driver door
- C. 15R On
- Select the display "main odometer or trip odometer or miles"
- Press trip odometer reset button (A1s3) three times within t = 1.5 s

The multifunction display (A1p13) in the instrument cluster (A1) switches to the workshop level.

Via the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) it is possible to scroll between the respective menus and submenus or in various lists.

The following menus are selectable:
^ Instrument cluster data
^ Dynamometer test mode
^ Service menu

Instrument cluster data
The following combination data can be called up in this menu:
- Data from instrument cluster (e.g. version number, software release, part number)
- Oil data (e.g. oil quantity, temperature)

Roller test mode
Activating the roller test mode prevents faults being entered in the ESP control unit during brake tests on the roller dynamometer (N47-5).
In the Dynamometer test submenu, the + and -, specific functions and volume control (S111s1) button can be used to alternate between the following settings:
- On
- With circuit 15 OFF

Vehicle data
- VIN

If the workshop menu is exited and the roller test mode was not activated again previously, the roller test mode menu is called up automatically during the next ignition sequence (with circuit 15R On).

Service menu
The following data can be called up in this menu:
- Service data
- Positions
- Additional work
- Confirmations
