High Mileage Required Service Work
At 160,000 miles or 16 years; then every 20,000 miles or 2 years

Reset maintenance service indicator in instrument cluster

- Engine oil and filter change
- Check catch, safety catch and hinges on engine hood for proper operation
- AdBlue© evacuate and fill up (Engine 642)
- Clean water drain in air/water duct
- Check condition of poly-V-belt (except ML 450 Hybrid)
- Replace fuel filter (Engine 642)
- Replace brake fluid

Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary.
If there is a loss of fluid, determine cause and perform repair with separate work order
- Check coolant level
- Brake system
- Windshield washer system
- Power steering
The fluid level must always be on the maximum mark, corresponding to the oil temperature.

Function check
- Parking brake (function test only)

Replace combination filter
Check thickness of brake pads, front and rear
Correct tire inflation pressure and enter in bar or psi:
Check inflation pressure in spare tire (if applicable) and enter in bar or psi:

Leakage - Major components
Check underbody and engine compartment for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components. In the event of leakage, determine cause and perform repair with separate work order.

Check AdBlue© lines and components for leaks and damage (Engine 642)
Visually inspect condition of front axle ball joints, rubber boots
Visually inspect condition of rear axle ball joints, rubber boots
Visually inspect condition of driveshaft flexible discs
Visually inspect condition of steering mechanical components, rubber boots
