Component Identification:

"Power flow" refers to the transmission paths of driving power and engine torque. The engine torque is transmitted to the drive wheels via the mechanical/hydraulic connection of engine, torque converter, the downstream automatic transmission and the transfer case.

The input torque to the transfer case is transmitted to the differential module (3) via the input shaft (1).

The rear differential side gear (3b) is connected directly to the output flange of the rear axle (4), the output torque being transmitted to the rear axle via the propeller shaft.

The front differential side gear (3a) is connected to the sprocket of input shaft (2) and thus to the output flange sprocket of the front axle (5) via the chain (7). The output torque is transmitted to the front axle via the output flange of the front axle (6) and via the propeller shaft.
