The position of the steering column and outside mirrors are also stored on the driver side.

There are two options available for storing data:
- First press and hold the memory switch (S91s9) and then press the corresponding button of memory position 1, 2 or 3 switch (S91s14) for t > 40 ms.
- First press the memory switch for t > 200 ms and then release it again. Then within 3 s press the corresponding button of the memory position 1, 2 or 3 switch.

Function requirements
- Voltage not to high or too low
Move to stored positions
To move to a stored seat position, the corresponding button on the driver seat adjustment switch group has to be pressed and held until the stored seat position is reached. If the switch is released, the adjustment procedure is terminated immediately.
Abort conditions:
Moving to a stored position is interrupted when:
- Undervoltage or overvoltage
- Manual seat adjustment
- Manual mirror adjustment (driver only)
- Manual steering column adjustment (driver only)
Vehicles up to 31.5.06:
When the transmitter key (A8/1) is removed from the EIS (EZS) control unit (N73), the currently set positions of the driver seat, steering column and outside mirrors are saved in a "key-specific" manner.
When the transmitter key (circuit 15C ON) is inserted and the door closed, these positions are then moved to.
This function can be activated or deactivated in the instrument cluster (A1).
