GF30.30-P-3210GQA DTR Controller Unit, Component Description
GF30.30-P-3210GQA DTR Controller Unit, Component Description
- with CODE (219) Distronic (DTR)
- as of model year 2010
Component Identification:
Location
The DTR controller unit is located in the center behind the radiator grille.
Task
The DTR controller unit has the following tasks:
- Actuation, supply and evaluation of the target data from the integrated DTR radar sensor (A89b1)
- Controlling the target evaluation of the radar
- Transmitting data for vehicle longitudinal control to the ESP control unit (N47-5)
The DTR control unit (A89n1) integrated in the DTR controller unit actuates the DTR radar sensor and evaluates the target data. The DTR controller unit sends the target data via the dynamics CAN (CAN H) to the ESP control unit (for the Distronic longitudinal movement control).
Input and output signals
The following input signals are evaluated by the DTR controller unit and transmitted as output signals:
^ Direct input signals
^ Direct output signals
^ CAN input signals
^ CAN output signals
Direct input signals
- Circuit 87
- Circuit 31
Direct output signals
- None
CAN input signals
- Radar request
- Diagnosis request
CAN output signals
- Target data of the radar
- Diagnostic data
Design
The DTR radar sensor and the DTR control unit are integrated within the DTR controller unit
Radar characteristics
- Detection range of radar sensor from 0 to 200 m
- Detection angle of the radar beam is 60° for detection areas from 0 to 60 m and 18° for detection areas from 0 to 200 m
- 77 GHz radar sensor according to the "Pulse Doppler Principle" for independent measurement of distance and speed
- Fully integrated electronic implementation (high frequency circuits in DTR controller unit)
Component Identification:
The radar plate is a radar transparent cover in the radiator grille which is necessary for correct functioning of the DISTRONIC.
The radar plate has the following tasks:
- Shielding against external effects (such as dirt, ice or insects)
- Ensuring optimal transmission and reception properties of the radar sensor
