AR18.00-P-0025-05OM Determine Oil Consumption

Determine the oil mass before the measuring drive and note down the kilometer reading

1 Place the vehicle on an even, horizontal surface.

2 Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
Temperature of engine oil 80 °C or 176 °F

3 Fill the engine oil level up to maximum.

4 Drain the engine oil and collect it in a clean container.

5 Weigh the vessel with the engine oil.

6 Note down the mass (m1) of the filled container, with the kilometer reading (s1) on the "Engine analysis sheet" form.

7 Pour the engine oil from the container into the engine.

8 Perform measuring drive.
1000 km trip by customer.
