Location
The NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device is located on the center tunnel.

Task
The NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device actuates the driver seat NECK-PRO head restraint solenoid (Y24/12) and the front passenger seat NECK-PRO head restraint solenoid (Y24/13) in the event of a rear-end collision.

Design
An acceleration sensor that determines the acceleration of the vehicle in the event of a crash is integrated into the NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device.

Function
The integrated acceleration sensor determines the acceleration of the vehicle and triggers the NECK-PRO head restraint solenoids in the event of a rear-end collision for which a defined acceleration value is exceeded.
