The following multi-disk clutches are engaged:
- Multidisk clutch K1 (46)
- Multidisk clutch K2 (47)
- Multidisk clutch K3 (48)
In 5th gear, power flows from the transmission input shaft through the blocked Ravigneaux gear set and blocked front single planetary gear set to the transmission output shaft. This rotates at the transmission input speed in the direction of rotation of the engine.
